Longmont United Hospital Foundation Health Career Scholarships 

 

The scholarship program began in 1990 when Bill and Anne Boettcher donated $2,000 in seed money to the program.

The Foundation’s scholarship program has awarded $1.75 million for health career scholarships since 1991. We are constantly evolving to meet the needs of hospital providers. This funding program encourages individuals to pursue higher education in healthcare and has been adapted to help nurses and other faculty (clinical and nonclinical) maintain certifications who support the mission of the hospital. Individuals who are not LUH staff but are currently in a medical field program may apply for this scholarship. Preference to LUH staff will be given when being considered. 

Scholarship amounts are $5,000 for each semester (Fall and Spring Semesters). The LUH Foundation Board reserves the right to increase or decrease scholarship amounts.

Deadline for Fall 2026 Scholarship Application is Monday, June 15, 2026.  

The application will likely take you at least 30 minutes. 

For NEW applications you will need to upload the following documents to complete your application: 

• Program acceptance documentation
• Tuition Statement
• Professional Resume
• School Transcripts
• Reference/Recommendation Letter (Personal or Professional)
• Personal Statement

Spring 2026 "Returning Scholarship Applicant" application is Now Open.

To Apply as a returning applicant CLICK HERE (Only use this form if you received scholarship funds from LUH Foundation the last semester OR you received a SVVSD LUH Foundation Scholarship in 2025). 

Deadline for Fall 2026 scholarship application is Monday, June 15, 2026. 

For Returning Scholarship Applicants (You received a scholarship for the Spring 2026 semester from the LUH Foundation) you will need the following:

• Name, Address and Phone Number for your institution
• A paragraph updating us about your last term
• Transcipts from last term (need at least 3.0 GPA and no D's or F's)

*Please note: If you receive a LUH Foundation Scholarship you must maintain at least a 3.0 gpa and pass all coursework with at least a C grade to qualify for scholarship the next semester.
