Ever wonder how gifts to CommonSpirit St. Mary-Corwin Hospital impact our doctors and our community? We asked two of our Orthopedic Spine Surgeons, Christina Koshak, MD and Mimi Lundgren, DO, PhD, to share their perspectives.

What Foundation projects have impacted your team recently?

We are very grateful for the Foundation's support with a second lumbar spinal table that helps us address the increase in spine and trauma cases being brought to St. Mary-Corwin. We now have a new Mizuho surgical table and Mazor X robotic guidance system!

How does this new equipment impact your patients?

It allows us to treat more patients close to home, right here in Pueblo! Plus, minimally invasive procedures with this system may result in smaller incisions, decreased blood loss and shorter hospital stays.

What do you want donors to know about their gifts to St. Mary-Corwin?

Thank you for your generous support of our hospital's growing spine service line! Your gift meets an important need and helps us provide the best patient care. We began using the new system in January, and patients are already benefiting from the new technology.
