About us

The Mercy Health Foundation exists to support patients and families in need of care at Mercy Hospital.

Over the past 20 years, the Mercy Health Foundation has raised over $53 million dollars for healthcare in the Four Corners Region, powered by community. In 1882 the Sisters of Mercy arrived in the area and started two schools, a hospital, and an orphanage in five months’ time. They reached out to the community to fund their work, and hardship was faced in partnership with one another. Thus, community partnership, in its truest sense, is our history, as philanthropy has impacted every significant improvement at Mercy Hospital since 1882.

Our generous donors have contributed to building the new Mercy Hospital in 2006, the Breast Care Center in 2013, and Mercy Hospice House in 2017. Investments from our community have changed the healthcare landscape in our region, keeping exceptional care close to home. Major investments in recent years have supported our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, now a Level II Unit, our Cardiovascular Service line and Cardiac Cath Lab remodel, our Traumatic Brain Injury Education and Prevention program, Gray Matters, and multiple Caregiver Resiliency Initiatives.
