Cowboys Kickin' Cancer 2023
Commemorating 45 Years of Cancer Care at St. Mary-Corwin Hospital
On August 28, 2023, we hosted our signature Cowboys Kickin’ Cancer event at The Colorado State Fairgrounds in Pueblo. Celebrating 45 years of cancer care at St. Mary-Corwin Hospital, this year’s event sold out once again with proceeds totaling more than $91,125 for the Dorcy Cancer Center Patient Needs Fund! These contributions will benefit our patients through their cancer journeys, from diagnosis to survivorship, helping to relieve burdens such as transportation and housing.
The evening included a live and silent auction and powerful testimonies from Miss Rodeo Colorado 2023 Randilyn Madison (pictured above) and cancer survivor Diane Armijo Moore.
Moore expressed heartfelt gratitude for the care and treatment she received at the Dorcy Cancer Center. Her testimony inspired a special moment of human kindness, when the highest bidder for the Flight For Life® Colorado auction package gifted the item back to the Foundation, specifically for Moore to enjoy. The package includes a Sunrise Flight with the Flight For Life Lifeguard 4 crew.
