Mike Cafasso Named Chief Executive Officer for St. Mary-Corwin and St. Thomas More Hospitals
(June 13, 2024) - I am pleased to announce that Mike Cafasso will serve as the Chief Executive Officer for both St. Mary-Corwin and St. Thomas More hospitals, effective June 23, 2024. Mike, who has served our ministry in southern Colorado since 2011, will report to Peter Powers, the newly named Market President for Greater Colorado and Kansas.
Mike was named the CEO for St. Mary-Corwin in February 2018 and he has served as the interim CEO for St. Thomas More since July 2023. As a compassionate, employee-first leader, Mike understands the unique challenges that face our communities in Southern Colorado and has continued to find opportunities to expand services, recruit top-tier providers and meet the needs of the community through our prescription food program and community garden.
Prior to joining CommonSpirit Health, Mike served as Colorado President for American Bank of Commerce. This role gave him a hyper-focused dedication to customer service and creating exceptional experiences for both employees and patients.
Mike earned his Bachelor of Science in Mass Communication from Colorado State University Pueblo. He received his graduate degree from the Graduate School of Banking at Colorado.
