Our Guest House Ministry is a true labor of love. Philanthropy, community and volunteerism are as fundamental to our two houses as their windows, walls and doors. There are many opportunities to get involved by volunteering at one or both of our houses in support of our guests who are patients, or families of patients, receiving care at Penrose, St. Francis, or St. Francis - Interquest Hospitals.

The role of the volunteer is to provide compassionate support for our guests to help create a warm and welcoming home away from home. Volunteers assist the staff with daily operations of the house performing various tasks that may vary from time to time. These include assisting with clerical duties, providing tours of the house after guest registration, inventory and restocking of guest rooms and the community kitchen. We’re also seeking volunteers to help plan and host community dinners to serve our guests during their stay.

As for our three hospitals: We’re always seeking passionate volunteers to assist with many needs at Penrose, St. Francis and St. Francis - Interquest Hospitals. Opportunities include, but are not limited to: front desk, gift shop and surgery hospitality volunteers.

Our two SET Clinics in Colorado Springs — both our Homeless Clinic and Family Medicine Clinic — are always looking for devoted volunteers to assist patients in need. These clinics serve our community members who are underinsured, uninsured or on Medicare. Volunteers for our SET Clinics may assist with activities such as phone calls, coordinating paperwork and supplies, and resource drives. We also have need of licensed caregivers who are willing to volunteer their time to see patients at our clinics.
