Penrose-St. Francis Hospital has a long and celebrated history serving the residents of Colorado Springs and its surrounding regions. In fact, St. Francis Health Center was the first hospital in the city, opening in 1887. We have dedicated over a century to fulfilling our mission to improve the health of the people we serve and make Colorado Springs and our surrounding regions a healthier place to live.
