Halos for Heroes

The Halos for Heroes program allows grateful patients, families, friends – and even fellow associates – an opportunity to recognize the care they received at Penrose Hospital, St. Francis Hospital and St. Francis Hospital - Interquest. Donations to the Halos for Heroes program help to sustain, expand, and improve our patient financial assistance program, unless otherwise designated, while recognizing exemplary caregivers.

Upon receipt of a gift, the Foundation hosts a small ceremony to recognize our caregivers. At the ceremony, each Hero receives a certificate with their name, a lapel pin, and we share the kind words expressed by the patient or donor giving the gift. Since the start of the Halos for Heroes Program in September 2008, there have been over 300 heroes recognized.
